The safety and wellbeing of children attending Blooms Club is our highest priority. This policy sets out how we protect children, work with schools, and respond if a concern arises.

Staff, DBS & Training
Adults working directly with children are expected to have appropriate Enhanced DBS clearance and relevant safeguarding training.

Concerns & Procedures
Staff are expected to remain alert to signs that a child may be at risk of harm and to follow appropriate safeguarding procedures if a concern arises.

Working with Schools
Where Blooms Club operates within a school, we follow the school’s safeguarding procedures and work with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead where appropriate.

Information Sharing
Safeguarding information will only be shared where necessary and in accordance with applicable safeguarding and data-protection requirements.

Parent & Carer Responsibilities
Parents and carers are expected to provide accurate emergency, medical and collection information.

First Aid
Appropriate first-aid arrangements are maintained during sessions, and school or venue procedures are followed where relevant.

Collection Arrangements
Children are only released in accordance with authorised collection arrangements.

Immediate Danger
If a child is believed to be in immediate danger, emergency services or the appropriate safeguarding authority may be contacted.
